Merry Christmas Wishes | Let's Get Hopping #13

Welcome to another Let's Get Hopping Blog Hop.

This month our challenge was to create a card that is not the standard size and I took the opportunity to create a long and skinny card and have a go at the eclipse technique.

The Stampin' Up! Holiday Catty went live this week and it is choc-full of so many gorgeous new products and thanks to one of the many great perks of being a demonstrator I was able to get my hands on some awesome new goodies a little early.

How gorgeous is this wood grain print from Festive Farmhouse DSP? I love how the subtle texture works with the raised letters. To create the eclipse effect I first die cut the letters for the word Merry from the DSP and then I die cut  two of each letter in Tranquil Tide. Lastly I adhered the corresponding letters to each other and then inlaid the letters back into the DSP panel

I chose to embellish the card with a this cute little reindeer from the new Dashing Deer stamp set, some Tranquil Tide sprigs cut out with the new Sprig Punch and some of the beautiful new Merry Merlot & Copper Reversible Ribbon

Thank you for hopping by today. Next up is Maria Willis, I can't wait to see what she had created to share with us.
