Stampin' UP! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop - Woven Threads Designer Series Paper

Hello everyone and welcome to another Artisan Design Team blog hop. This month we are all sharing projects that showcase Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper. One of my favourite things about Stampin' Up! products is the coordination between inks, ribbons, accessories, stamp sets, tools and paper and I've always felt the Designer Series Paper in a suite is the product that ties everything together. Whether you are a Beginner, Casual or and Avid crafter, Designer Series Paper (or DSP) can add pattern, colour and wow factor to any project.

The Designer Series Paper I have chosen to showcase today in the Woven Threads DSP and I have teamed it with the coordinating Woven Heirlooms Stamp Set that is also part of the Woven Threads suite.

For these projects I chose to work with only three of the different patterns, sticking with the colour palette of Pretty Peacock and Purple Posy and I've added some elements of Copper using the Celestial Copper Ink from the brand new Delicata Metallic Ink range in the 2019 Holiday Catalogue. However as you can see in the image below the Woven Threads DSP features a beautiful range of colours and patterns.

For my first project I added some texture to the DSP using a mask from the Basic Decorative Masks and some Embossing Paste and once the paste was dry I then laid the mask back in position and sponged some Celestial Copper ink over the embossed pattern.

With this second card, again using Celestial Copper ink, I added some extra detail to the DSP with one of the patterned stamps from the Woven Heirlooms Stamp Set and then layered some embossed vellum, a strip of DSP and some ribbon and lace under the sentiment circle.

Lastly I created this little gift bag from another piece of DSP. Once again I used my new favourite ink (yep the Celestial Copper) to stamp some flourishes on the DSP before constructing the bag and then, because I wanted the DSP to be the feature I then added a small simple tag and some lace.

Now that I have hopefully inspired you with just a few ideas of how to use Designer Series Paper I have some exciting news to share. For the month of September only, Stampin' Up! are offering Buy 3, Get 1 Free on a selected range of Designer Series Papers, including the Woven Threads DSP. So if you are keen to get your hands on these gorgeous papers, now is the time to do it.
