Farmhouse Chic - Designer Takeover | TGIF Challenge 322

Hey hey, it's Friday!!! And time for another TGIF Challenge. This week's challenge has been set by Andrea Tracy-Tucker from One Stampin' Mother Tucker.

Admittedly Farmhouse Chic is not a style that I'm familiar with but after a little scrolling through Pinterest pointed me in the right direction and I relished the opportunity to ink up my Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set again. I chose to stick with the natural feel of the timber and fabric from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper and added a little gingham ribbon and a splash of gold foil.

If like me, you are intrigued to see what the rest of the team have created based on this theme make sure you pop over to the TGIF Challenges blog and if your are inspired to create your own Farmhouse Chic project we'd love you to share it with us.

Night of Navy Beauty | TGIF Challenges #319

Happy Friday everyone. It's time for a colour combo challenge this week and we are challenging you all to create a project with Night of Navy, Basic Gray and White.

With a combo like this I'd normal go towards creating a mostly white project with touches of the navy and gray but in this case I've made Night of Navy the hero of my project.

How pretty is this Night of Navy patterned paper from the Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Paper? The lighter shades of Night of Navy in the pattern tie in perfectly with the water coloured butterfly.

To see what the other TGIF Designers have created make sure you check of the TGIF Challenges blog and if you've been inspired by this challenge please share your creations.

Sketch Challenge for Global Design Project #294

Hello everyone and welcome back. Here in Victoria we are in yet another lockdown and in an attempt to stave off insanity I'm filling any spare time between mumming and home schooling with crafting. Last night I thought I'd check out the Global Design Projects weekly challenge and was delighted to find it was a sketch challenge.

And here is my interpretation of the sketch.

As you can see I've used a little creative licence and switched the sketch around slightly and moved my hanging plant and sentiment to the left of the card. This is my first play with the Plentiful Plants bundle but, I'm certain it's not my last, and with the addition of two new green In-Colors, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen this set is going to be so versatile for scrapbook pages, home decor and cards for all occasions.

Stampin' Blends - Designer Takeover | TGIF Challenges #318

Hello and welcome back to another TGIF Challenge. I'm posting this a little late as my Friday was crazy and the feeling in this house is very much TGIS (Thank God It's Saturday)! Anyway, I still managed to get a spot of crafting in last night and this particular challenge was exactly what I needed after a manic few days. The week is a Designer Takeover and the lovely Bree Renwick, aka the Craftsomnia Momma, has set a Stampin' Blends challenge.

Stampin Blends are my absolute favourite colouring tool and they are perfect for adding colour to a project. It's been a while since my Beautiful Moments stamp set has been off the shelf so I decided to ink it up for this card.

I decided to keep it simple with this card and team the coloured image with some woodgrain paper from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper pack and a touch of Soft Succulent gingham from the Pansy Petals DSP to tie in with the blades of grass.

A tip for when colouring images, you can add the illusion of depth to your project by outlining the image with the bullet tip of a light Pool Party blend.
As I chose to go with a black card base, a white insert was required so I decided to add a little extra detail. I don't often think to decorate the inside of my cards but it really adds a touch of something special to a card so I just might start doing it more often.

Well that's all from me today. Make sure you pop over to the TGIF Challenges blog to see what the rest of the design team have created and make sure you share your own projects if you've been inspired by this challenge.

ESAD 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. Today I'm participating in another ESAD Blog Hop and this time we are all showcasing products from the Stampin' Up! 2021 -2022 Annual Catalogue.
Oh goodness, there is so much to love about this new catalogue and it was tough to choose what to share with you today. So like any good book I decided it was best to start at the beginning and share a project created with the Beauty of the Earth Suite on pages 10 and 11 of the catalogue.

The Beauty of Friendship stamp set and coordinating Beautiful Trees dies along with the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper has imagery suited to any season throughout the year and since we are well and truly in the depths of autumn here in Central Victoria, bare tree branches and cold foggy mornings were the source of my inspiration.

Next up in the hop is my beautiful friend, Lou Kitzelman. I can't wait to see what she has created to share with us today.

Returning Favourite | Let's Get Hopping #42

Hello and welcome to another Let's Get Hopping Blog Hop. With a new Stampin' Up! catalogue starting earlier this month we are all having fun playing with all the new products that are available to us but, there are also many favourites that have been carried over from the previous catalogue and in this hop the Let's Get Hopping team are showcasing our returning favourites.

When creating this card I've teamed flowers from the Jar of Flowers stamp set with a sentiment from Happiest Birthday Wishes and I've given both a fresh new look with the new 2021-2023 In Colors.

Next up in the hop is Nina McMillan, I can wait to see what returning favourite Nina is showcasing.

Sketch Challenge | TGIF Challenges #316

Happy Friday everyone. It's time for another TGIF Challenge and this week it's a sketch challenge. I know I've mentioned before that I love a sketch challenge and this one is no exception.

The stripes in the background on this sketch had me thinking of a playful kids birthday card so I took the opportunity to ink up one of my new stamp sets, Party Puffins.

Don't you just love these cute lil' puffins? With a little guy in his first year of school this year, our weekends are often busy with birthday parties so a stash of cards featuring this festive fluffy friends will come in handy over the next few months.

Well that's it from me today. Make sure you pop over to the TGIF Challenge blog to check out what the rest of the team have created and if you have been inspired by the sketch then please share your project with us

Flowers | Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome back. Today I'm participating in the Be Inspired Team Blog Hop and this month's theme is "Flowers". I love this theme and when it comes to flowers and Stampin' Up! we are spoilt for choice and with the new Annual Catalogue just around the corner I thought I'd share a project created with a new flower stamp set, Pansy Patch.

I really enjoyed inking up this stamp set for the first time and think you'll be seeing a lot more created with these images as well as the coordinating Pansy Dies. Next up in the hop is my talented friend Janneke Ditjkstra-de Jong, I can't wait to see what floral creation she has created for us.
